Statute   

The new Statute of the Consilium Conferentiarum Episcoporum Europae (previously Consilium Conferentiarum Episcopalium Europae) was approved by Pope John Paul II on 2 December 1995.
The initial Norms of CCEE (founded in 1971) had been approved by Pope Paul VI on 10 January 1977.
The Decree of Approval (only IT), published here along with the text of the new Statute underlines how the new norms should aim to appropriately promote a closer synergy among the Conferences and cooperation with the Apostolic See.
